Jeffrey Fettig is a prominent American businessman and former CEO of Whirlpool Corporation. He was born on December 8, 1956, in Tipton, Indiana. Fettig earned his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from Purdue University in 1978 and a Master of Science degree in management from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue in 1982.
Fettig worked for Whirlpool Corporation for more than three decades, holding various positions before becoming CEO in 2004. During his tenure, he oversaw the company's growth and expansion into new markets around the world. He retired as CEO in 2017 but remained on the board of directors until 2020.
Apart from his career at Whirlpool, Fettig has served on the board of directors for several other companies, including Dow Chemical Company, ExxonMobil, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. He has also been involved in community organizations and served on the board of United Way Worldwide.
Fettig has received numerous honors and recognition for his business leadership, including being named one of Fortune Magazine's "World's 50 Greatest Leaders" in 2014. He currently resides in St. Joseph, Michigan, with his wife and children.
